2016 Springfield
Heart & Stroke Ball
Saturday, February 6, 2016
The Springfield Heart Ball, attended by more than 400 individuals from Springfield businesses, medical and social communities, is the annual black-tie optional gala benefiting the American Heart Association's lifesaving mission. The evening's festivities begin with a pre-event reception followed by an elegant dinner, inspiring program, a spectacular live auction and incredible entertainment by The Shenanigans. It is a night you don't want to miss!
For the past 90 years, heart disease has been the #1 reason we lose our loved ones. We are closer than ever to eliminating heart disease as the leading cause of Americans, and reducing its impact on our lives.
Your involvement will help us build healthier lives and improve medical treatment throughout Sangamon County. The American Heart Association has reinvested over $2,500,000 in research grants in Springfield; helped create healthy communities through important public policy victories; and implemented the latest scientific treatment guidelines in health facilities throughout Sangamon County.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) ranks as America's #1 killer, while stroke is the #5 cause of death. Nearly 2,200 Americans die of CVD each day - that is one person every 39 seconds. Please join the American Heart Association in building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke by celebrating with us at the 2016 Springfield Heart Ball.
